Auto Rules help you keep your M2E Pro Listing up to date without manual work. You set simple conditions. M2E adds or removes products for you.
These rules can operate on three different scopes: Global, Website, or Category.
✅ The Website scope becomes available only after you select a Store View in your Listing Settings.
Adding Auto Rules #
- Open Kaufland > Listings > Items.
- Next to the Listing, select Actions > Products > Auto Add/Remove Rules.
- Pick the scope: Global, Website, or Category.
- Click Complete.
⚠️ The rules apply only to products added after the rules are configured. Existing Magento items are not affected.
Rule Levels Explained #
All three levels use the same actions, but each applies them within a different part of your Magento setup.
| Action | Global | Website | Category |
| New product is added to | Any new item created in the Magento Catalog is included | All new products belonging to the selected Magento Website are included | All new products assigned to the chosen Magento Category are included |
| Add ‘Not Visible Individually’ products | Decide whether items marked as ‘Not Visible Individually’ should be added to the Listing | ||
| Product is deleted from | Any item removed from the Magento Catalog is processed | Items removed from the specified Magento Website are processed | Items removed from the selected Magento Category are processed |
For new items, you also need to choose the Kaufland category and complete Item Specifics. This lets M2E submit your products to the marketplace.
✅ For variational products, add only the Parent product to the Listing. Child products appear automatically after the Parent is published. If Child items are set as Not Visible Individually, set Add ‘Not Visible Individually’ products to No, so they aren’t added automatically.
Category-Level Rules #
The Category level offers the most control.
If your Listing relies on several Magento categories, you can set up multiple Category-level rules to manage them.
To create one:
- Switch to the Category level and choose Add new rule.
- Select the Magento category you want, then mark the required branches.
- Give the rule a title and define its actions.
- Pick the matching Kaufland category and save your changes.

⚠️ Each rule can link to only one Magento category.
Removing Auto Rules #
- Open Kaufland > Listings > Items.
- Find the Listing and choose Actions > Products > Auto Add/Remove Rules.
- Press Reset Automatic Action Rules to clear all existing rules.
