Walmart Product Types
Assigning the correct Product Type is key to the success of your Walmart listings. Product Types help classify your products within Walmart’s system and ensure they appear in the right categories.
By selecting the appropriate Product Type, like "Books," "Electronics," or "Clothing," you optimize product visibility and make it easier for customers to discover your items.
In this guide, we will walk you through the steps for managing Walmart Product Types using M2E Pro.
Create Walmart Product Type
- Go to Walmart Integration > Configuration > Product Types.
- Click Add Product Type.
- Select the Marketplace you want to use the Product Type for.
- Search or Browse for a relevant Product Type, select it, and click Confirm.
- Assign Product Specifics using Magento Attributes or enter them manually.
- Save the settings to complete the process.
Assign Walmart Product Type to the items
- Go to Walmart Integration > Listings > Items.
- Open the relevant Listing and switch to the Settings View Mode.
- Select the products you want to update.
- From the Actions menu, submit Assign Product Type.
- In the pop-up window, click Assign next to the appropriate Product Type.
- Confirm your choice to save the settings.
That’s it! Once saved, M2E Pro will automatically update product listings according to your Synchronization Policy.
Refresh Walmart data
To ensure that you are using the latest Product Type information from Walmart, follow these steps:
- Go to Walmart > Integration > Configuration > Product Types.
- Click the Refresh Walmart Data button.
- This will synchronize any changes made to Walmart Product Types, so your product listings are up to date with the latest product specifics.
