Stagnant Listings on eBay: What Should Sellers Do?

Here’s something worth your attention, especially if your eBay store has too many old listings just... sitting there.

Meanwhile, any listing that hasn’t seen action in 90+ days is flagged as stagnant.

What counts as “activity”? For multi-quantity items, sales are the obvious metric. For one-off items, it’s less clear; views, clicks, or just minor edits might help, but nothing is confirmed.

  • Don’t ignore them. Even if the item isn’t trending now, a quick polish can boost its discoverability. Use your data: if a listing has views but no buys, the price or photos need a second look.
